Parish Mission Statement:

We, the People of God of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, are both diverse in our talents and backgrounds and united in our belief that we are the Body of Christ in our world today. We believe that our baptism calls us to the ministry of expressing our Catholic Faith in word, worship, deed, and community. We commit ourselves to that mission and to witnessing our belief to each other, our neighbors in the city, our fellow members of the Diocese of Covington, and our visitors from across the nation and the world. At the same time, we acknowledge our responsibilities to the rich liturgical and architectural tradition of which we are the special heirs.

Bereavement Ministry
The Cathedral parish established a Bereavement Ministry in 1986. The purpose of this ministry is to assist grieving families of the parish in planning the funeral liturgy. This ministry calls us to live out the Mission Statement of our parish. Please call Laura Schaller at 331-7432 for more information.

Adult Faith Formation Committee
The Adult Faith Formation Committee of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption Parish is engaged in providing diverse programs of mind, body and spirit which invite others to a deeper realization of God's love while promoting growth toward personal wholeness
