Cathedral Basilica Books & Gifts Owned by the Cathedral Foundation, Cathedral Basilica Books & Gifts is located at 1115 Madison Avenue, across the street from the Cathedral. The Store offers a wide selection of merchandise for your spiritual and gift giving needs: rosaries, patron saint medals & statues, crucifixes, recorded sacred music, reproductions of religious works of art, greeting and holy cards, and souvenirs of the Cathedral. Specialty items can be ordered.  Operating hours are: · Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm · Saturday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm · Sunday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm Hours are subject to change with the seasons. Cathedral Basilica Books & Gifts will travel from time to time to different parishes in the diocese and set up a table to sell items. Host Parishes will receive 10% of the sales as the Store's way of helping our universal ministry. Parishes interested in hosting CBBG should call Craig Bohman at 859-291-7488. Craig T. CBBG is staffed with Cathedral volunteers. If you are looking for a fun volunteer opportunity, please call Craig. A brief history of Cathedral Basilica Books & Gifts.... Two stores were merged to become our current Cathedral Basilica Books & Gifts. The first, Holman Religious Goods was founded in 1948. By 1959, the name was changed to Cathedral Religious Goods and the store was eventually donated to Villa Madonna College, which later became Thomas More College, and was operated as a practicum for the College business students. This was donated to the Cathedral Foundation in 1996, and then was run entirely by volunteers. The Cathedral Museum Gift Shop was founded in 1991 in a room of the Rectory next to the Cathedral Museum. As parish staff grew to meet the needs of the growing Hispanic mission, which has now grown into the Christo Rey parish in Boone County, the Museum Gift Shop was relocated across the street to 1115 Madison, into the same building as the Cathedral Religious Goods store. These operated as separate stores in the same building from 1997 through 2003. In 2004, the two were merged and a renovation plan has begun.
